The Following story takes place in Anchorage, AK around 5am...
...This is based on a true story.
Alarm clock starts going off around 4:30am and I realized that the weekend was sadly over, and this week I would be driving Josh to work around 5am. Chaos struck the house early with two puppies (we are still dog-sitting) running around barking eager to start the day, when all Josh and I could think about it how tired we are. After feeding everyone breakfast and letting them outside to pee (including Josh...hey its Alaska...no I'm just kidding as of now he is still using toilets), left both dogs behind and pulled out of the drive-way.
As of right now this was just a typical Monday morning. The only thing different was that it was a little darker outside because it was so early. Half way to work, with just a simple roll of the tire our day changed. The tire pulled to the left really hard and started to make a loud strange sound. We pulled over right away but because it was so dark we couldn't see anything so we got back inside and headed over to a lit parking lot to check out what had happened. Sure enough, just one glance you could see it. Something so small had gained so much power and had destroyed us. NO I hadn't run over Obama, it was a bolt-nail-screw thingy, and was the size of a quarter. Josh called into work and explained what had happened, we headed home to change the tire and put an end to this madness...but it had only just began.
Once pulling into our driveway we started the process of changing the tire, and this went smoothly, besides the fact that we broke that thing that pushes up the tire, ( technical terms are out the window) and we had to call our friend Carrie to help us out. Well it just so happens that the people that we are dog-sitting for have a CRV and we were able to get a ride to their house, pick up their car and use their 'car lifter thingy'.
After finally getting the tire off, we were about to put the spare on the car when we noticed...that it was deflated. So... Off to the gas station. Fill the spare with air. Off to the house. Put the spare on the car. And FINALLY! ...oh wait that's right, the spare had a hole as well and started to deflate.
So all in all, we had to drag our car to the shop, have them fix both tires, and put our summer tires back on.
Moral of the story and reason for you reading all of this...well I haven't found one yet.
Is this an F-15 being repaired!
